Wolf Day 02

We got more into the groove of things. I was really focused throughout the day.

I thought about what it means to lead a team this morning. It’s my job to inspire others to do better than they thought possible. To lead is to believe in their ability to contribute.

I started to see how everyone is a crucial part of the set. Everyone really stepped it up and I felt great collaborating to achieve something greater than each one of us could ever do on our own.

I love the art. Tomorrow, I hope we all become a little bit better and more efficient at this filmmaking thing. There is nothing better than being on set helping to craft a story.

Wrapped Day 01

A good first day. I understand the challenges for this shoot. I know how people work. I know the camera workflow a little better.

Lighting is going to be a challenge. Camera is going to be a challenge.

But I’m confident we will improve day by day.

One thing at a time. I believe this will be a good show.

Beginning Production on Wolf

In an hour, I start principle photography on Wolf.

I am grateful to be working with some very talented filmmakers who feel passionate about the craft as I do.

This story to me, is about family. It’s the theme that is very important to me and has been for as long as I can remember.

I will do my best to capture this story to the best of my ability. I’m looking forward to learning a lot.

Here we go!!!

Dell VEM Shoot

Directed a project for Dell that showcases Police Software Solution. Long process from learning about the solution, writing the script, pre-production, and then finally production.

I truly appreciated the energy that comes from collaborating with talented people. Once just an idea on paper, it’s a thrill to be able to capture it with people you enjoy working with.

I love the peeps at Arts+Labor :)

Bright Star

Finally watched Bright Star. Love, poetry, visuals, beautifully crafted. Story sort of static.

2 shots I thought were very cinematic.

- In the bedroom when the curtain lifts up.

- In the hallway when she hears of the news of John Keat’s Death.

I love how these two shots show both the soothing and the sufferings of love in two similar but very contrasting shots.
